There’s a lot to parse when it comes to the relationship between Michael Cohen and Stormy Daniels’ (and Karen McDougals’AND Shera Bechard’s) former lawyer, Keith Davidson, but the gist of it is this: He clearly colluded with Michael Cohen in drafting those NDAs and handling those cases.
Davidson — a twice-disbarred lawyer, apparently known as the Better Call Saul of D-list attorneys — has a long history of selling back sex tapes and other embarrassing information to celebrities, and in Michael Cohen, he apparently found a repeat client. (Davidson was also in the middle of the Hulk Hogan sex tape, because the world could not get any smaller). The cozy relationship between Cohen and Davidson is apparent from recently released text messages between the two, reporting from The Daily Beast, and Michael Avanatti. Davidson (like the President) also has a cozy relationship with TMZ, with whom he both works for and “against.”
What does that mean in the larger picture, beyond the fact that once again the Presidency is involved with shady, sleazy figures? Well, Keith Davidson is cooperating with authorities, which will most certainly mean more time for Michael Cohen when he is ultimately indicted. As of now, authorities are still going through the materials raided from his office, and finding that very little of it is privileged. It’s all eventually going to come out.
Meanwhile, Rudy Giuliani is belittling Stormy Daniels’ defamation claims, suggesting that she has no reputation to protect. “Explain to me how she could be damaged. I mean, she has no reputation. If you’re going to sell your body for money, you just don’t have a reputation.”
Huh. Interesting. But as Alisyn Camerota notes in this clip: “I’m sure that many people feel the way Rudy Giuliani does” about porn stars like Stormy Daniels not having credibility. What about men who have sex with porn stars? “Do they have credibility?” Exactly.
This is actually a really great discussion of the matter here, which touches upon Rudy Giuliani suggesting that Melania Trump believes her husband that he didn’t have an affair (ha!). As Dana Bash notes, if Melania were so trusting and believing of Trump, why did Trump feel compelled to ask the director of the FBI to disprove allegations that he slept with prostitutes in Russia in order to convince Melania that it was untrue?

And you wonder why this is true:
Only 27% of American voters say President Trump is a good role model for children. 69% say he is not, via new Quinnipiac poll.— Ryan Struyk (@ryanstruyk) June 6, 2018
But at least Trump is getting himself on the cover of Time magazine (there’s a 90 percent chance he is secretly flattered by this cover):
