Gather ‘round, fellas. Bring it in.

Now, listen up. You listen to me closer than you have ever listened to me before. It’s the last two minutes of the fourth quarter in the most important election of our lives, so I need you all to pay close attention to what I’m about to say, OK?

My dad used to say, ‘It always looks bad before it gets better.’ This has been the worst season we have ever endured as a team, but we have weathered the worst of it, and now there’s only one thing left to do: Walk into our polling locations tomorrow and leave everything we got in that voting booth. We ain’t going to get another shot at this.

Now I know a lot of you are still trying to make a decision about who to vote for tomorrow. You look around, and a lot of the men in your lives are making careless, irresponsible choices. They’re running around this country making damn fools of themselves. That’s not how Dillon Panthers behave.

Let me tell you something. There’s a man out there trying to convince you that people who look different than you are dangerous, that they’re trying to take away what belongs to you. He goes around and brags about grabbing women’s crotches and he belittles women, judges them based on how they look, and tries to suggest that they should have no control over their bodies. Stay away from dumb, gentlemen. Don’t just stand by and watch this happen. Women are to be respected. I’m not going to put up with any of that business in my locker room, you understand?

Now, who you vote for tomorrow could have a profound effect on this country. Most of you fellas, however, aren’t going to feel the brunt of it, but you need to understand something: The refs have been paid off. There’s a built-in home team advantage in this country, and you men have enjoyed that privilege for 250 years. It’s time we level the playing field. We all need to follow the lead of Smash and Santiago, who have already registered their votes because once again, this team — this country — has to rely on them and their families to bail us out. They got us to the one-yard line. Now all you have to do is tackle the bigotry, knock down the hate, push over the fear and clear a path to victory.

Your children and the mother of your children are the two most important things in life. That’s just a fact, gentlemen. Money comes and goes, yeah? These kids of ours… that’s a one-time deal. So I need you to put aside your own self interests and go out there and work as a team to lift this country up. Do what’s right for your family, what’s right for your children, and what’s right for your children’s children. Suck it up. That’s what being a man is.

More importantly, you need to listen to people who love you and you listen to people that you trust. Most of all, you listen to yourself, because I know deep down in all of you there’s compassion and honor. You wouldn’t be wearing that jersey if it weren’t the case.

You get one chance in life, fellas. You can either take advantage of it, or you can piss it away. You do that latter, and you’re gonna regret it the rest of your lives. Now is your chance to make it right. Right here, right now, God has placed you here to do what you do best. Go all the way. If you give a hundred percent of yourself tomorrow at the polls, people are gonna look at you differently.

Can you play like champions? Because I promise you, they are going to come at you with everything they’ve got. Don’t quit on me now. Don’t quit on yourself. You got a job to do, fellas. This is within your reach. This is a game that we are going to win. This is your time.

Clear Eyes. Full Hearts.

Can’t Lose.
