TFG set a high bar for shamelessly lying while in office (or on his way to it). He’s such a habitual liar that it’s hard for anyone to match him. You must be the highest level of desperate loser to lie as thoroughly as TFG does. Only someone with a complete lack of moral fiber can reach TFG levels of dishonesty. It would take an egomaniacal jackass willing to blame his mistakes on people looking for a better life.

You clicked the article; you know what spineless, forever cop I’m talking about. At this point, NYC Mayor Eric Adams seems to be on a speed run to the bottom of everyone’s s*** list. He’s cutting money to social services. He’s complaining about non-existent spikes in crime to give $11 billion to the NYPD. The same NYPD for whom he will bend over backward to make excuses for their violent, reckless behavior.

We are two years away from the New York Mayoral primary. Adams has plenty of time to do more long-lasting damage to this city and its people. Still, he also knows that he lied and ran as a Democrat. Occasionally, Adams tweets about Stonewall or abortion to curry favor with progressives. He does it all while seeking massive breaks for landlords and getting his corrupt buddies cushy jobs (more on that in a moment).

Yesterday, Adams took his shamelessness to a new level. He appeared on the WGA and SAG/AFTRA picket lines to pretend he cared. He grabbed a mic, as he is wont to do, and lied through his teeth. How do I know he was lying? You need only look at what he has done as Mayor versus what he said, and you can see the truth.

He claimed, “The prosperity of the industry must show the prosperity of the people that are feeding the industry.” This is a great point! Is it what Adams believes? I don’t think so. Since he has become Mayor, rent has been allowed to increase for approximately one million stabilized homes. He fought tooth and nail to kick retired New Yorkers off their Medicare plans. He’s trying to end Universal 3K. The man wanted to convert windowless rooms into apartments! That doesn’t feel very prosperous.

It should also be noted that while Adams was pretending to be a friend to workers, NYC DA Alvin Bragg was announcing a slew of indictments against one of Adams’ former employees. Top Aide to Adams, Eric Ulrich, was indicted for using his public position to meddle in various bureaucratic processes. He also received up to $150,000 in bribes. Adams wasn’t directly linked to the indictments, but this is the company he keeps and hires.

Eric Adams has more in common with David Zaslav than he does anyone in the WGA. He is no friend to workers, only himself. He deserves no recognition for what he did. If it helps bring more eyes to the strike, fine. But at a time when people are going into overdrive attempting to undermine the strike, celebrating the appearance of a liar is not a great look.
