— Good morning. Everyone is anxiously anticipating the meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, which will be taking place momentarily, although I think it’s unlikely that we will learn anything about their conversation since only six people will be in attendance (including two translators). If someone leaks, well, we’ll have a fairly good idea of who it is. Trump really wants to keep this on the down-low for obvious reasons (collusion).
Those thinking that Trump might be hard on Putin (hahahahahaha) should probably adjust their expectation, if this handshake is any indication.

Old pals, it seems. “Thanks for helping me win the election, Vladdy!” Of course, the best handshake was the one that didn’t happen:

Check out Trump’s face as she casually walks by him. Beautiful!
— Meanwhile, the list of states that will not comply or fully comply with Trump’s voter fraud commission’s request for voter roll data now sits at 48. At least there is something Dems and Republicans can agree on, and that’s that Kris Kolbach shouldn’t have our social security numbers.

— The big news of the night, in my estimation at least, is a lengthy Rachel Maddow report, brilliantly edited like a mystery novel, suggesting that someone (either the White House, someone on the right, or perhaps even Russia) is leaking forged top secret NSA docs to media organizations in an effort to discredit them on the Russia/Trump situation. It is sinister as hell, and potentially, what happened to CNN a couple of weeks back. Perhaps their one source was a White House plant. We are dealing with some truly heinous people who desperately want to discredit the one entity that still has some power against the White House.
Also, don’t fuck with Rachel Maddow. She will blow up your shit.

— There is reasonably good news on the health care front. More Republican Senators are backing away from the AHCA during the recess, and some seem to be doing so permanently. It’s so bad that McConnell is now conceding that, if it doesn’t get through, he will work with Democrats to shore up Obamacare. He said this before, but then it was a threat. Now it seems like a … deal?
“If my side is unable to agree on an adequate replacement, then some kind of action with regard to the private health insurance market must occur,” McConnell said. “No action is not an alternative. We’ve got the insurance markets imploding all over the country, including in this state.”
— Here’s something dumb Trump tweeted:
Everyone here is talking about why John Podesta refused to give the DNC server to the FBI and the CIA. Disgraceful!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 7, 2017
Uh, 1) John Podesta ran Clinton’s campaign; he had no control over the DNC. Two, Podesta got hacked. I think Trump maybe heard one guy say this in a crowd, and that “one guy” is “everyone.”
OK, with all the politics out of the way, here’s a treat:
