Kellyanne Conway's Husband Is Going Hard on Donald Trump's Mental Health

I’m not going to rehash Donald Trump’s weekend tweetstorm, except to say that it might have been more deranged than usual. For instance, he attacked a rerun of Saturday Night Live and threatened legal action against SNL and late-night shows for colluding with Democrats “and, of course, Russia!” He mocked Joe Biden for a slip of the tongue, which is hilariously ironic. He even attacked two Fox News anchors for not supporting him enough, while calling out the network for not showing enough support for Tucker Carlson and Jeanine Pirro. He retweeted tweets from one of the Pizzagate conspiracy theorists, and a bunch of other stuff that no one cares about. The New York Times suggested the Twitter barrage came as a result of him being bored over the weekend, but George Conway — the husband of White House Chief Advisor Kellyanne Conway — suggested there was something else at play that inspired him to tweet about his hurt feelings and defend Fox News’ Islamophobia two days after a mass killing in two mosques.

Don’t assume that the things he says and does are part of a rational plan or strategy, because they seldom are. Consider them as a product of his pathologies, and they make perfect sense. https://t.co/k9rAK3tGFT

Agreeing with another conservative’s view of Trump’s mental health, Conway also suggested that the Vice President and Trump’s cabinet might want to consider invoking the 25th Amendment.

And it worked! Trump’s 2020 campaign manager, Brad Parscale, called out George Conway on Twitter:

We all know that @realDonaldTrump turned down Mr. Kellyanne Conway for a job he desperately wanted. He barely worked @TheJusticeDept and was either fired/quit, didn’t want the scrutiny? Now he hurts his wife because he is jealous of her success. POTUS doesn’t even know him!

It got so heated last night that Kellyanne Conway herself had to step in and sort of defend the President over her own husband.

Personally, I just wonder: 1) What more does George Conway know about the President from his wife? 2) We all know that Kellyanne Conway is one of the biggest leakers in the White House, and I wonder if George Conway surreptitiously speaks for her; and 3) Donald Trump has fired people for much less. What has prevented him from firing Kellyanne Conway over her husband’s constant denouncements of him, unless of course he knows that no one could write a better, more scathing tell-all than Kellyanne Conway?
