If Tucker Carlson repeatedly came after me and called me the “race lady,” well, that’d be weird, but also, I’d probably respond with some sort of lengthy rant that sounded like Lewis Black (in my head). Maybe the best thing to do is just to ignore him, but also, maybe the best thing to do is joyfully, ebulliently deride him and treat him like the silly little man that he is.
That’s what Joy Reid did last night, and boy was it fun. I know that Tucker Carlson gets off on our collective outrage, but I doubt that extends to being belittled and treated like the small, insignificant man that he is. Watch Joy Reid go off on “Tuckums,” on his career failures, his white supremacy, and on his reliance upon his step-mother’s TV dinner fortune to help him navigate life.
Every delicious insult is worth one maniacal laugh.
