If he gets on, there are three women on the Supreme Court — RBG, Elena Kagan, and Sonia Sotomayor — who are going to have to work with this man for years, who are going to read into his opinions what they know about him, about the culture in which he grew up, about how he has regarded women for his entire life.

I think about that, a lot. It’s not just getting through the confirmation process. He has to work on the Supreme Court for the better part of the rest of his life, and the women on there now — and in the future — will have to work with him, knowing that he once stuck his penis in another woman’s face, or held down a woman and attempted to rape her. They’re going to have to work side-by-side with someone they’d probably rather prosecute than write a concurring opinion with.

Anyway, here’s John Oliver attacking Republicans and their sh*tty defense of Brett Kavanaugh. The information isn’t new, but it’s always nice to have John Oliver cut it with some biting and pointed humor.

Oliver spent the bulk of his time in this week’s Last Week Tonight, however, tackling Facebook, and the problems it has created overseas, including contributing to deadly violence and inflaming religious tensions in Myanmar, where 750,000 people have been displaced and another 10,000 have been killed because of those religious tensions and the echo chamber of Islamaphobia Facebook helped to create.
