Fox News Anchor Who Is Not Shep Smith Forcefully Calls Out Trump's Pattern of Lies

I don’t know a lot about Neil Cavuto, except that he’s been at Fox News (covering largely business) for over two decades. But he’s not Shep Smith — who regularly calls out the President — and here he spends four full minutes highlighting the many, many Trump lies — both big and small — and he does so in a way that might be palatable to the conservative Fox News viewer.

“Now, I’m not saying you’re a liar. You’re the president. You’re busy. I’m just having a devil of a time figuring out which news is fake. Let’s just say your own words on lots of stuff give me, shall I say, lots of pause.”

Maybe he’s not “doing it intentionally” or “deliberately,” Cavuto concedes, but he lies “consistently. Way too consistently.” Cavuto soft-pedals it, but that might make his viewers more receptive to the message he’s sending: “You are right to say some [of the press] are out to get you, but oftentimes, they are using your own words to bat you … you are too busy draining the swamp to stop and smell the stink you are creating … Mr. President, that is your swamp.”
