This morning, former Donald Trump campaign lawyer, Jenna Ellis, pleaded guilty in the Georgia election subversion case. Ellis’ guilty plea comes after those of two other Trump campaign lawyers, Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesebro, who conspired to devise a fake electors plot.
In her statement, Ellis admitted to aiding and abetting Rudy Giuliani to provide false statements. She will pay $5,000 in restitution and must write a letter of apology to the state of Georgia. She will also serve five years probation and, importantly, she has agreed to cooperate with prosecutors in the case against Donald Trump.
She tearfully read a statement in court. “If I knew then what I know now, I would have declined to represent Donald Trump in these post-election challenges. I look back on this whole experience with deep remorse.”

There was skepticism that the Georgia prosecutor, Fani T. Willis, could expeditiously manage a sprawling election fraud and racketeering case involving 19 defendants. Four of those defendants have now already pleaded guilty.
Jenna Ellis supports the 2024 Presidential campaign of Ron DeSantis.
