On September 27th, 2007, some guy named Barack stood in front of a massive crowd at Washington Square Park in New York City and asked those attending to vote for him rather than the Senator from New York, Hillary Rodham Clinton. From the NYTimes:
Mr. Obama’s aides said more than 20,000 people registered for the event through the campaign’s Web site. While it was impossible to determine even a reliable attendance estimate, view from the vantage point of an elevated lift seemed to reveal the gathering as one of the largest campaign events of the year.
Meanwhile, tonight, a woman named Elizabeth Warren held a rally at Washington Square Park in the exactly same month of the election cycle as did future President Barack Obama and asked those in attendance to vote for her instead of a different New Yorker. A reliable attendance estimate for it is not yet available, either, but I am guessing that Elizabeth Warren drew a capacity crowd.
They were very excited to be there.

I have it on good authority that the level of packed it is at Washington Square Park for @ewarren is already “fully batshit psycho out of 10.”

Warren gave a big speech and unveiled her anti-corruption plan. It seemed to go over well with the crowd.
Thanks a lot, @ewarren, for making me cry in the middle of Washington Square Park with thousands of fellow New Yorkers just now. You have a lot of nerve busting out all this hope and inspiration like we’re all entitled to it. Jeez. pic.twitter.com/a3lbAhL3Ik

So amazing to see @ewarren at Washington Square Park give a mini lesson about Frances Perkins' activism to illustrate how structural change can happen. She is inviting us to dare to think big and fight for the change we want to see. #WarrenNYC

Jaw saw her rally in Washington Square Park. The most electrifying speech I’ve ever heard. She is amazing

It was a pretty good speech, too.
I cannot underscore how ridiculously good Elizabeth Warren is at this. #WarrenNYC

Donald Trump is corruption in the flesh. But our problems didn't start with Donald Trump. A country that elects Donald Trump is already in serious trouble. #WarrenNYC pic.twitter.com/9BYOtFmn1R

I don’t know, y’all. I’m starting to think this Warren person may have a chance.
