Trump's Conflicts of Incest

I’ve always been weirdly fascinated with Trump’s relationship with his daughter.

No, not that one. Although, admittedly, she seems to be the best Trump.

This one.

And now that she works for President* Dad, I suspect their relationship will get a lot more uncomfortable. Trump hasn’t exactly been subtle about his preference for Ivanka. I also know there’s something to be said when a daughter is known as or self proclaims that she’s a “daddy’s girl.” When it comes to Donald and Ivanka, referring to her as a “daddy’s girl” just made your skin crawl, didn’t it? And it wouldn’t have that effect if there wasn’t countless photographic evidence to choose from to support that claim, dry heaving and all.

I understand there are some daughters who have a close relationship with their fathers. My dad and I are best buds; we renovate houses together, we talk about astronomy, chemistry, theoretical and quantum physics, and stupid science fiction nearly all the damned time. We’d never, and I mean NEVER take pictures like this ever. All of those pictures remind me of a movie from 1994 that I think does a good job depicting Trump’s relationship with Ivanka.

For those who haven’t seen the movie, it stars Gérard Depardieu as a single father who goes on vacation to a resort with his teenaged daughter. Heigl, who was 16 when the movie came out but 14 when they filmed, plays his daughter Nicole. The whole movie revolves around the fact that Heigl’s character falls in love with an employee at the resort and to impress him, says that her father, Depardieu, is actually her lover.

I understand that this was a remake of a French film, and Heigl went on The Howard Stern Show a few years ago saying how the movie would never get made today. Of course the premise is wacky, but the fact that a teenaged girl would say that about her father, to win the affection of an older dude, is baffling to me. That definitely seems like something Trump would do, only he’d make the claim that Ivanka was his lover and not vice versa. And God knows we have evidence citing that much as true.

As skin crawling as that might be, video from Ivanka and Donald’s 2013 trip to the Wendy Williams show doesn’t seem to help Donnie Trash’s case.

During their interview, Williams asked what their favorite thing they had in common was. Ivanka responded diplomatically with “either real estate or golf.” Full marks as a perfectly acceptable answer as a daughter. Trump’s answer? “Well, I was going to say sex, but I can’t relate that to her.”

Pro tip: maybe don’t Google Image Search “skin crawl gif.”

Donnie, here’s some unsolicited advice: now that Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner are now both senior federal employees, cool it with the inappropriate comments about your children, your wife, your colleagues, cabinet, constituents, adversaries, women, democrats, liberals, journalists, generally anything with a pulse. I understand that in your mind, “Make America Great Again” may invoke a time in history when the white man was king. However, with statements like that, you’re summoning a time in history where you’d probably be good with keeping your bloodlines pure, if you know what I mean. We’ve seen what the biological fruit of your loins’ yield and they’re rotten.
