Devin Nunes Was Fed Intel From the White House, and That's Just the Beginning, Folks

… and we’re back to Devin Nunes, the hapless pawn, bad liar, and the go-between for the White House pushback operation on the Russia scandal. A brief refresher: Devin Nunes acquired intelligence information while at the White House (though, Nunes implied he didn’t get it from the White House), met with Paul Ryan, briefed the press on it the next day, didn’t show the rest of the Intelligence Committee the intel, and purportedly took it to President Trump.

Now we know who briefed Devin Nunes. According to the New York Times, it was “Ezra Cohen-Watnick, the senior director for intelligence at the National Security Council, and Michael Ellis, a lawyer who works on national security issues at the White House Counsel’s Office and formerly worked on the staff of the House Intelligence Committee.”

So, the information definitely came from the White House in order to benefit the White House, and the information was definitely cherry-picked to feed into the narrative that Donald Trump wanted to create about President Obama wiretapping Trump Tower.

Got it? Cool.

Because there’s more to this story underneath the top layer, according to Republican columnist Rick Wilson, via Twitter:

The Ellis connection was obvious from the moment I heard it. Nunes is a clumsy liar, and DC only rewards talented liars. Spicer lied in his briefing about Nunes getting the intel from WH sources…and I think it can be proven that Nunes lied to Ryan. So two WH operatives — possibly improperly — accessed classified to pass it to Nunes as part of a *political* pushback operation. Who ordered it? Who asked for them to do so? If you think two lower-level guys took it upon themselves to make this play I’ve got a Nigerian prince with $30 million dollars for you.

Who is running the WH pushback operation on Trump’s Russia scandal?

It rhymes with Beeve Stannon.

This is where it gets good, so ride along with me. Flynn’s staybehind agent Cohen-Watnick was about to be shitcanned by McMaster. Cohen-Watnick — the NSC intel director — was a Flynnite from DIA days. Flynn was gone but the channel was still open.

Why would Bannon and Kushner race to this guy’s defense? Because he’s helping run the pushback operation on Russia with Nunes. Strap in tight, because this is going to be a rough landing.

So, basically, a Michael Flynn guy that the current National Security Advisor tried to push out was saved by Jared Kushner and Steve Bannon because he was working to cover up the scandal with Russia.

The whole fucking administration is crooked as hell.

Meanwhile, Devin Nunes?
