Donald Trump is a garbage person who slings insults like—well, I guess like he writes for Pajiba. (But hey, no one around here is pretending they should be president, where what you say can cause international incidents or wars.) His racist comments and sexist insults have earned him scads of headlines and a dizzying amount of supporters seemingly burned out on more standard-model politicians. And now they’ve won him praise from Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston.
Explain yourself Cranston.
“I actually like his candor,” Cranston said of Trump on The Nerdist podcast. He then applied a Trump accent, adding, “‘You’re an idiot. I’m a winner, you’re a loser.’”
His candor? You mean his shameless self-importance? His brazen megolmania? His unrepentant blend of self-righteous and bigotry? Yeah. Okay, go with “candor.”
Cranston clarified,”There’s something so refreshing about shaking up that world that is all about being handled and here comes this loose cannon who has terrible ideas and would be a horrible president, but there’s something great about his ‘I-don’t-give-a-sh-t’ attitude that really kind of keeps others honest.”
Oh thank godtopus. You had us worried there for a minute, Cranston!
“I think it’s a surprise benefit to the country, actually,” he continued.
“I hope he stays in for a long, long time…”
“And just collapses that whole tent of his,” Cranston concludes.
Well that was emotionally exhausting.
