I don’t know what else we can say about Donald Trump and his meeting with Putin on Friday. Putin denied meddling in our election, and Trump more or less accepted him at his word. This morning on Twitter, Trump basically confirmed that he doesn’t put much stock in the Russian meddling narrative, continues to blame Obama for meddling that didn’t exist, and he continues to undermine our intelligence agencies. Worse? He’s serious about forming a joint cyber unit with the Russians — the very people who hacked our election — and Wikileaks wants in on it.

This is insanity. Even Little Marco recognizes that.
Partnering with Putin on a "Cyber Security Unit" is akin to partnering with Assad on a "Chemical Weapons Unit". 2/3

How can anyone view Trump’s morning tweets as anything other than favoring the Russians?

Putin absolutely owned the POTUS in this meeting. Everyone in the world except Trump and his base of supporters in the United States knows that Putin meddled into our election, and they know that Putin made a mockery of Trump at the G20. It’s embarrassing, and to put that embarrassment into perspective, an Australian journalist gave a searing account of America’s place in the world now. It’s a brutal indictment of Trump, but for the rest of us? I honestly felt a deep sense of shame for my country.
Wow. This analysis of Trump from an Australian reporter is quite something. Watch the whole clip. pic.twitter.com/u0mroeWD3W

Ouch. This literally hurts.
Come on Trump base: You have got to see this for what it is. Putin has made a mockery of us. Trump is playing right into his hands. Our democracy is flailing. Our standing in the world has plummeted, all so that Donald Trump could increase his celebrity. While in America, we can separate ourselves by political affiliation, the rest of the world just sees us as Trump’s nation. That burns.
