This story is insane.
Here is a picture of a couple of people in mourning, grieving over the death of Arkady Babchenko, a Russian dissident journalist who was gunned down by Russian agents yesterday.
He was shot several times in the back in front of his apartment. Here’s how the BBC reported it yesterday:
Babchenko, 41, was found bleeding at the entrance to his block of flats by his wife and died in an ambulance. He was reportedly shot several times in the back.
Ukrainian lawmaker Anton Herashchenko said the journalist had gone out to buy some bread, and that the killer was waiting for him.
Kiev police chief Andriy Kryshchenko told local media they suspected Babchenko was killed because of his “professional activities”.
The Ukranian prime minister used Facebook to blame Russian agents for Babchenko’s death.
But that was yesterday, folks. Today? Here’s Arkady Babchenko, alive and well, standing at a press conference.
Uh… so Arkady Babchenko, the Russian dissident reporter who was murdered yesterday, is… not dead. Ukrainian secret services just paraded him before the cameras on life TV. It was a setup. Dear God

So, what happened?
Well, it was a setup. Ukranian secret services staged his murder in order to lure the would-be murderer out, and it worked! They apprehended a guy who was meant to kill Babchenko. And the whole sting operation was so secret that not even Babchenko’s wife knew about it, which of course meant that he had to apologize to her.
#Babchenko: "Special apologies to my wife. Olechka, I am sorry, but there were no options here. The operation took two months to prepare. I was told a month ago. As a result of the operation, one person has been captured, he is being held."
