'Survivor' (US, not Australia), 'Death and Other Details,' 'Shogun,' And More On Podjiba!

When a television show is not available in your region, is it unfair to discuss?

This is one of the many important behind-the-scenes questions that we’ve tackled on Podjiba, because now a full two-thirds of us are highly enjoying the current season of Australian Survivor, so much so that it’s actually making it more difficult to enjoy the current season in the US (although they’re also at very different spots, as the US Survivor is at the beginning, whereas Australia is near the end).

It is unfortunate that the show isn’t easily accessible for everyone to enjoy. But also, this podcast is supposed to be about what we are watching, and what some of us are watching is mostly a bunch of fun Australians playing a more difficult brand of the game.

Anyway, sorry it isn’t more available for everyone else. It’s going to get somewhat worse when Dustin watches last year’s season (which is, arguably, one of the greatest seasons of any competition show ever).

As for this week’s podcast, we covered some of our weekly watches (the aforementioned Survivor, as well as Shogun, still excellent), and the endings of Hulu’s Death and Other Details and Peacock’s The Traitors. Plus, Tori told us all about The Gentlemen, which is a Guy Ritchie Netflix show based on the Guy Ritchie movie (and not related to anything Matthew Vaughn has done, she’d like you to know).

Finally, we ended with the second round of the 2024 FFQCC, in which we are picking the one show Dustin hasn’t seen that he must watch sometime in the near future! Results below:
