Ordinarily, Podjiba is not a podcast that does specific episode titles. At least, not ones that are derived from within the episode.

This is not (solely) out of laziness, but is partially driven by a possibly misguided belief that there’s some vague SEO value in having the names of some of the shows discussed easily accessible.

But then, there’s a time like this week, when the episode name is gifted to us, after Dustin (naturally) coined a brand new adage, which he calls Murphy’s Choice.

Those who don’t know Dustin might simply assume that he accidentally conflated Sophie’s Choice and Murphy’s Law, but those people would be correct simply don’t know the genius behind Dustin’s musings, a sentence I am definitely not being forced to write.

Anyway, Murphy’s Choice states that whatever choice you make, it will be the wrong one. This makes total sense and is, again, not something that we were forced to make up just because Dustin said something odd on the podcast!

(Also a fun side note: when I searched for the term “Murphy’s Choice” online, it gave me a bunch of results about Murphy’s Romance, a 1985 rom-com starring Sally Field and James Garner which I had never heard of. Anyone seen this before?)

As for the rest of the show:

- Tori brought us another Kung Fu Corner!

- Dustin explained a lot of television to us that we don’t watch, including what happened at the end of Killing Eve and the mid-season finale of The Walking Dead!

- We talk about the premiere of the new HBOMax series Tokyo Vice!

- Finally, we discuss the season finale of Severance, which definitely did not reveal me to be a villain again (or still?)!

Podjiba! Sometimes we (okay, Dustin mostly) make up a random adage that maybe makes sense somehow? (Also, here is your direct download link.)
