In honor of either all the series/season finales that we watched this week (or possibly in honor of nothing at all), before the show we all took part in a very weird ritual: we all ate a bowl of the limited edition Cup Noodles Breakfast flavor.
Was there a good reason for this? Not really. Did we enjoy ourselves? It’s hard to say, although we all somehow kept eating them even though they were… odd, and by the end, the verdict was that at minimum, they didn’t taste as bad as they smelled.
But don’t worry, we didn’t waste too much time on that, just as we didn’t waste too much time on all the shows we weren’t able to properly discuss this week (but will hopefully talk more about soon enough), which includes: Silo, Clone High, Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai, American Born Chinese, I Think You Should Leave, The Great, Platonic, Yellowjackets, Fubar, and the finale of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
Perhaps we will discuss some of these next week! On the other hand, Dustin has to tell us how Manifest ends, so you know, that’s all time permitting.
After speeding through mentions of all the other shows, we did eventually get down to our main topics for this week: namely, the series finale of Barry, the season (series?) finale of Ted Lasso, and the series finale of Succession, all of which we enjoyed to varying degrees unless your name is Dustin, who may or may not have chosen violence when discussing one of the three shows (and it might not be the one you think).
