I’m not going to lie: it’s a little bit of a weird week for us on Podjiba.

For the first time in who knows how long, we found ourselves without a new or current show that any of us was particularly excited to discuss.

Oh sure, we could have (and briefly did) discussed the (still pretty new) NBC drama Debris (which may or may not feature an extended moment in which none of us can remember the name of a particular Christopher Nolan film). And we do get into a brief exploration as to why Dustin will no longer be providing us with his weekly Riverdale Recaps!

But after that, this week was dedicated to talking about some of the shows that we’d recommend to friends - but not our basic, initial, of-course-we’re-going-to-recommend-this shows - this time, we get into the shows that we’d recommend once someone trusts us, or they’ve already seen a few of the shows that we enjoy.

Also, we had some technical issues which meant we couldn’t play a game this week, but here’s a little game to play (before you listen, if you feel like it): which Podjiba host recommended which show? (Answers will be at the end of the post).

The Mighty Boosh (Hulu)
The Detour (Hulu)
Review (Paramount+)
I’m Sorry (Netflix)
Strangers With Candy (Paramount+)
Eureka (Peacock)

So what about you? What shows do you recommend to people, not necessarily all the time, but once you’ve determined that they’re worthy?

Podjiba is almost always available more or less anywhere that podcasts can be found! Which includes right here. This statement remains true, as far as I know, for now, and for as long as I keep paying the hosting bill.
