I spent a depressing amount of time covering Justin Bieber as he rose from a sweet, little Canadian pop star (with a questionable Jesus-y bent) to a mop-bucket-pissing brat who sometimes dated Selena Gomez. Because of that, I’m well aware that Usher basically made Bieber’s whole career, so like a lot of people, I was surprised that Bieber wasn’t onstage during the Super Bowl Halftime Show. OK, that’s not entirely true. I only cared about whether Lil Jon would show up, but I did wonder about Bieber briefly. Turns out, Usher did ask him, and Bieber essentially said, “Nah, I’m good.” (Page Six)

Samuel L. Jackson still wants a Mace Windu series on Disney+, which let’s be real, probably ain’t happening after Secret Invasion. If there was even the slightest chance of a Windu series, Marvel blew it to hell. (Variety)

Teresaelectro savored Dodai Stewart’s reflections on a romantic relationship, The Visitor. “The story explores the highs and lows of their long-distance relationship. With humor mixed with soul-searching commentary, she realizes you can’t expect love to conquer all on its own.” Whose writing do you slow down to read? (Cannonball Read 16)
