There’s almost nothing going on today that’s not election related, and even Vivian is off today to man the polls out in Los Angeles, so you are stuck with me and mostly political links.
Donald Trump has already filed his first #Rigged lawsuit, claiming that Clarke County in Nevada allowed the polls to illegally stay open two additional hours to accommodate mostly Hispanic voters. There is nothing illegal about this. They remained open two hours longer because there were SO many people in line they had to (anyone standing in line when polls close is allowed to vote). The suit is #bullshit. (The suit is being heard at the time of this writing, and the judge is calling it nonsense.)
Breaking: #Trump files Nevada voting lawsuit vs. Clark County Registrar, they allege, for keeping polls open “2 hours beyond..closing time"

This, basically:
GOP does everything it can to make voting lines as long as possible, then tries to throw out votes of those who waited in line? Obscene.

GOP shortens early voting, cuts way back on polling places, ID rules take time. 4 hr lines, polls open late. Trump sues 2 throw out votes.

Sarah/Cinesnark covers the troubled development of the Queen biopic over the last many, many years, including the rotating cast of actors attached as leading man. (Lainey)
In case you missed the update, the biggest question of this election, apparently, is whether Tom Brady actually endorsed Donald Trump. Trump says yes. Brady’s wife says NO. This is on the NYTimes, so it’s important. (NYTimes)
This morning on Fox, Donald Trump said he was proud of ALL of his kids, but not as proud of Tiffany as the other ones. (GQ)
It doesn’t look like voter intimidation is widespread today (hopefully), but it definitely exists, it’s heartbreaking, and it’s not OK.

Has there been a weirder year than 2016? Yes, 1974. American Heiress tells the story of Patty Heart’s abduction by the Symbionese Liberation Army and how she joined their cause. Jeverett15 says "American Heiress works as a deep dive into a very specific moment in history, and as a window into what an era of corruption, violence, and lack of trust can lead to." Speaking of which, have you voted? (Cannonball Read 8)
