This Business with George Takei Is Incredibly Unfortunate

On Friday, George Takei was accused of sexual misconduct, stemming from an incident back in 1981. That’s not good, and you’d like to hope, anyway, that the incident was isolated. Takei denied the accusations, but then an interview with Howard Stern surfaced where Takei confessed that he maybe, might have helped skittish men along by, you know, grabbing them. If all of that wasn’t enough, today Takei started accusing Russian bots of spreading the allegations, which may be true, but also, completely beside the point. (Uproxx)

Janet Jackson is just as amazing as she was when I was in high school - and loath as I am to admit it, that was a long damn time ago. Queen. - (LG)

Speaking of royalty, here are a bunch of pictures of royals from the month of November. Prince Harry looks pretty dashing and I seriously dig that pink dress Queen Mathilde of Belgium is wearing. - (GFY)

Not all heroes wear capes. And one of them is coming for proud homophobe Kim Davis!- (Logo)

TLC removed one of the Duggar-adjacent spouses from one of their shows. I’d say his name, but honestly? Would any of you know who he is by name? I don’t watch the show(s) and wouldn’t be able to pick him out in a crowd of one. It’s the literal least TLC can do, because it’s not like he’s going to suffer that much. I mean, his wife and/or kids are still going to earn money from being on this show; his absence isn’t really going to make a big difference, is it? - (Dlisted)

Unlike TLC, who only did the minimum while claiming to support their other cast members, Gina Rodriguez and Terry Crews have fired their agents and/or managers after the recent sexual assault revelations have come to light. They’re not supporting agencies who continue to work with abusers or who sat idly by while they knowingly sent clients into the webs of abusers. Right the fuck ON, Gina and Terry! - (Celebitchy)

And newly powerful Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot has declared that she will not return for a sequel unless (ALLEGED) sexual harasser Brett Ratner is removed from the franchise. Goddamn, I am loving the hell out of this reversal of the power balance in Hollywood! - (Page Six)

Awww, I had no idea Pam Grier and The Brady Bunch’s Florence Henderson were BFFs! Did you? - (NYP)

Do you live in a tiny apartment? Then this might be for you. You could live under Stephen Colbert’s desk! I mean, you’d have to share the space with Jon Stewart, but that’s not a deal breaker, is it? - (Omaze)

On November 23, 2013, ten boys were shot to death in unrelated shootings across the US. Gary Younge tells the stories of each of these boys in Another Day in the Death of America: A Chronicle of Ten Short Lives. "I think what Younge really wants the reader to take away is the unrelenting horror that comes from living in a place where it is not only possible, but expected that some of the children who live there will be shot." Ellesfena has never wanted everyone to read a book as badly as she wants everyone to read this book. How do you talk about gun violence to children? (Cannonball Read 9)

It’s a smidge too early for Christmas stuff, but I couldn’t resist. I stole this from Kolby on Facebook, because this baby’s face is just too too much!
