I had planned for tonight’s PL to be all fluffy and Halloweeny, but we can’t ignore the (possible) terrorist attack in New York City earlier this evening. Our thoughts are with NY and all those affected.
We Rate Dogs *claims* they only rate dogs, but they clearly also rate Godtopi.
So, Henry Cavill said some pretty candid things about the DCU in an interview this week, and now I wanna put him on Petr’s list of men who BETTER NOT BE ABUSERS. Basically, he said, the DCU has kind of been crap, but Wonder Woman put them on the right course, and now they can learn from their mistakes using Wonder Woman as a guide.
“We can start telling the stories in the way they need to be told,” Cavill told Rake Magazine. “It is even better to come back from a mistake or stylistic error into the correct vein because it will make it seem that much stronger. Wonder Woman was the first step in the right direction.”
Nicely put, Superman!
Kim K had a few different costumes. I really wouldn’t have recognized her in the Madonna outfit. Kourtney made a really cute Michael Jackson. (Here’s how you know I’ve eaten too much sugar tonight: I just complimented a Kardashian) - (Celebitchy)
Wendy Williams was dressed as the Statue of Liberty on her show today. And then she passed right the fuck out on live teevee! (Talk about your huddled masses, amirite?) - (Dlisted)
It’s not ONLY celebrity costumes today; here’s the other Lainey all dressed up and hilarious! - (LaineyGossip)
SPOOPY, SCARY, AND CREPPY pumpkins! Might give you nightmares. - (Bored Panda)
Fine, not technically a costume or even Halloweenish, but fun sweaters are FALLish, so it goes with the theme tonight. (Shuttup, yes it does!) - (GFY)
Alex and Ani has a collection of Harry Potter bangles, necklaces, and rings now. Accio Gold Ring Wrap! - (AandA)
Is your idea of horror a tiny, eight-legged creature? Do pictures and gifs of spiders and the spider-like make you cringe? Then Beware! Ingres77 filled his review of The Hatching by Ezekiel Boone with such things so that potential readers will know what they are in for - some light apocalypse by arachnid. "Sometimes - not often, but sometimes - shudder-inducing fluff is precisely what you want to curl up with on a weekend." (Cannonball Read 9)
