A brief foray into calling J.K. Rowling’s detractors “a bit high and mighty” aside, Brian Cox’s penchant for giving zero f*cks has been a curmudgeonly delight, so of course, he’s now aimed his cannons at Succession. While Cox spoke glowingly about the decision to kill off Logan in only the third episode of the final season, he now wishes the creative team had waited a while longer so he wasn’t just an “ear on the floor” after all the years. Jonathan Majors’ blatant image maintenance continues. (Lainey Gossip)

PSA: Reality TV is a massive scripted lie. (Dlisted)

Critics are not loving The Idol. (Celebitchy)

From Dustin: Tara Hernandez, the co-creator of the spectacular Mrs. Davis, is not allowed to promote her show about AI, but she can talk about AI in the context of the WGA strike. She’s great, even if she did get her start on Big Bang Theory. (Deadline)

Since we’re going heavy on the Succession today, ever since I installed my first AOL disc back in the ’90s, I have steadfastly refused to use “LOL.” I’ve softened in recent years, but still don’t like that. That said, I literally LOL’d at the end of this Jeremy Strong anecdote. I might have even peed. (Variety)

While we’re on the subject of LOL, Ron DeSantis’ presidential campaign launch went exactly as expected thanks to Elon Musk being a clown shoe idiot who Dunning Kruger’d his way into owning a social media platform. (The Verge)

Why is Mario Lopez out here defending gun rights? (The Mary Sue)

From Chris: Jinkx Monsoon is a national treasure-level drag queen and her stand-up special, Red Head Redemption, is a great time. (Them)

Fox News took all of their production equipment out of Tucker Carlson’s house before he could launch his new Twitter show with it. This P-Love sure is filled with right-wing assholes screwing things up for other right-wing assholes. I like these vibes. (The Wrap)

Nikki Haley’s anti-trans rhetoric did not fly in New Hampshire. (Daily Beast)

Chatelaine can’t entirely explain why she liked A Man Named Doll by Jonathan Ames (creator of Bored to Death) quite so much. “Stereotypical zippy noir pacing, some snappy dialog in that style, some one-dimensional characters from Central Casting. Somehow it worked for me…” Have you read any of Ames’ books or watched his shows? (Cannonball Read 15)
