This past Saturday was The Science March. Please to enjoy these delightful signs from the march. - (Buzzfeed)
It was fitting that the story of Henrietta Lacks and her HeLa cells aired on HBO the night of The Science March. Did any of you watch it? Thoughts? (Lainey)
This weekend also marked the one-year anniversary of the death of Patton Oswalt’s wife, Michelle McNamara. He wrote a beautiful essay about that one year mark and moving forward, while still maintaining the connection to her, and about being a single dad raising their now 8-year-old daughter. It hit especially close for me to read, because my mother died when I was seven and my dad raised me mostly on his own after that. It’s incredibly humbling and emotional to read about the surviving parent’s side as an adult and realizing how much you don’t see as a child. You might want to have tissues nearby when you read this. - (Celebitchy)

On Friday, Debbie Schlussel alleged that Sean Hannity invited her back to his hotel on two occasions, and after she refused, he never invited her back on his show. Today, Schlussel would like to make clear that Hannity’s proposition didn’t meet the legal standard of sexual harassment, but that Hannity is still “weird and creepy,” that he chastised her for changing her hair color and argued with her about her pants size. And yes, Hannity did retweet a story where he was characterized as “weird and creepy” as validation that he’s not a sexual harasser. (Detroit Free Press)
Do you have a favorite fictional crustacean? Is it Sebastian? Say goodbye to Sebastian and hello to the foul mouthed Crab scuttling through Drew Magary’s The Hike. Scootsa1000 was a fan of Magary’s work at Deadspin and those Williams Sonoma catalog take-downs, but she lost track of him for a while. The Hike was an unexpected delight of comedy, horror and weirdness. (Cannonball Read 9)
