I’m a huge honking nerd, and this bit of movie trivia caught even me by surprise. In a nutshell, before overcoming a buttload of opposition to land the career-defining role of Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr. met with Christopher Nolan while the director was in the middle of casting Batman Begins. RDJ wasn’t trying to land the role of Bats, that was a young man’s game, but he was interested in playing Scarecrow. However, he knew within a few minutes of meeting Nolan that it wasn’t gonna happen, but clearly, things worked out pretty darn well for everyone involved. (Variety)

Finnyfinfinn is pretty sure she learned to read out of spite. “I had a big green hardcover of Grimm’s fairy tales that no one had the time to read to me so I was for darn sure going to read it to myself.” You can learn more about how her reading has changed, but has also stayed the same in the first Quick Questions with a Cannonballer of the year.
