It’s National Pet Day, so I will use this excuse to once again post my new favorite gif. This is Pixie.
She’s my little American Curl/Silver Tabby mix we rescued last month. She came from a hoarding situation and she’s a little ball of sunshine. And sass.
In observance of National Pet Day and these videos with Dodger, I have to move Chris Evans up to First Best Chris position. JUST FOR TODAY THOUGH. - (LG)
ALTHOUGH, bearded Jon Hamm might be even better than First Best Chris. DAYUM. - (GFY)
Once a rising star of the GOP, Missouri Governor Eric Greitens is facing bipartisan calls for his resignation and threats to impeach him after a report detailing a deeply disturbing sexual assault went public. This is in addition to his extramarital affair. (Kansas City Star)
The woman told lawmakers that in March 2015, as she tried to leave the basement of his St. Louis home, Greitens grabbed her in a “bear hug” and laid her on the floor. Then he started fondling her, pulled out his penis and coerced her into oral sex while she wept “uncontrollably.”
The woman told the committee that Greitens had led her down to the basement, taped her hands to pull-up rings, blindfolded her, spit water into her mouth, ripped open her shirt, pulled down her pants and took a photo without her consent.
He threatened to make the photos public if she ever told anyone about their encounter, and called her “a little whore,” the woman told lawmakers.
Mariah Carey was diagnosed with bipolar disorder 17 years ago. She’s ready to talk about it now and it sounds like she’s doing really well! - (Celebitchy)
Oh hell yes! Black Panther will be available on digital release in less than a month! Look at all the cool bonus material you’ll get with it (or with the Blu-Ray release a week later) - (Shadow and Act)
You know of my love for otters and this tweet can stand on its own, but you really should read the whole thread. It’s entertaining.
Hey now! We're *very* open about our local sea weasel's necrophiliac interspecies sexual attacks, having studied this behavior in the 90s. Such are the dynamics of the gender imbalance humans caused by the fur trade. People have only ourselves to blame. https://t.co/xsjaSwmJp6 pic.twitter.com/ZIgnuagH0e— Monterey Bay Aquarium (@MontereyAq) April 11, 2018
Ummmm, I do love the otters, but I’m starting to fall hard for this punk rock green-haired Mary River turtle. - (Earther)
Some people who bought diapers at Target found more than diapers in the boxes; they also got some good old neo-Nazi propaganda! What the shit?! - (Distractify)
Moby the vegan has opinions on what should and shouldn’t be covered under SNAP (aka Food Stamps) and his opinion is that it should be restricted to “beans, vegetables, fruit, and whole grains.” And my opinion is that he should STFU and focus on what HE eats and not what anyone else is eating. - (Dlisted)
If you wonder how your Trump-supporting family members can still support the Orange Menace, maybe it’s because they’re only watching Fox News and they just never see the same things the rest of us see. For example: The rest of the world sees the news reporting the FBI raid of Michael Cohen’s home and office. Tucker Carlson’s viewers? They got to see “sex-crazed pandas,” which is a bit he stole from The Colbert Report. - (Elle)
I got nothing pithy to add to this:
I photoshopped Trump's eyes and mouth onto a block of spam and now I'll never be able to sleep again. pic.twitter.com/zcpnqxFJgW— Darren Dutton (@Darren_Dutton) April 11, 2018
The most important things lumenatrix wants you to know about The Belles is that is that it’s really good, and you should read it. Lumenatrix discovered the author, Dhonielle Clayton on a Slate podcast and thought the book sounded interesting. "Clayton has created such a vibrant, well filled in, amazing world for this book to take place in and she has populated it with such great characters and such realistic situations." Have you discovered an author on a podcast? (Cannonball Read 10)
