Why is Pete Davidson in GQ? Actually, I think the fact that he’s so not the person who belongs in GQ makes him kind of a perfect person for GQ. He’s a stoner bro, but this makes him kind of endearing. (Lainey)

OK. Here’s the thing. I have friends who have gone through a divorce, and while it is heartbreaking and awful, the plus side is that they get to be a wonderful, amazing loving parent for half the week, and then they get to be whatever they want for the other half. Obviously, being married is better for the kids, but there’s a certain appeal to the custody arrangements for the parents — you get to go out, have a life, date, drink, do whatever you want, but you also get to spend one-on-one time with your kids during the other half. The fact that Angelina and Brad are fighting over a few hours every other day — known as “free babysitting” in the real world — tells me that, at the very least, this has very little to do with the kids and everything to do with f**king each other over. That’s a shame, because kids are resilient and they can bounce back and forth, but their parents fighting? That’s what is harmful. (Celebitchy)

I haven’t watched Showtime’s The Affair since season one, but there has apparently been a lot of drama both in front of and behind the camera where it concerns Ruth Wilson (and her character), and it may very well have had something to do with a pay disparity, not that Ruth Wilson can talk about that. (Dlisted)

Wait, WHAT? Parents have declared “hunting season” on a 12-year-old trans kid because the student who identified as female used the women’s restroom. That poor girl. WTF, Oklahoma? A “good sharp knife will do the job”? Go to hell! (Towelroad)

If you haven’t seen tonight’s episode of the funniest comedy of the summer, you’re going to want to do that immediately … after you’ve watched the first season and a half (seriously, it is so good). (Seriously OMG)

Let’s discuss Salma Hayek! Yes, let’s … oh, whoa. Nevermind. Let’s not. (GFY)

Fuck the fuck off, Fox News. (The Root)

If you’re into geeky NFL quirks, Chase Daniels is one of the quirkiest. I had no idea he was even still in the league. (538)

Professor Wilson on Rob Gronkowski: “I 100% believe it’s possible the actual explanation is that he is dumb enough that he didn’t know he was getting paid at all, that life was just working out and playing football, and all the other stuff like food and a house just sort of happened.” (Yahoo)

So, um Billy Corgan has been featured on the cover of Paws Chicago, the local cat magazine, twice.

Genevieve brought this to my attention, and just … wow.

You can blame TK for the next two tweets. In fact, I encourage you to click away immediately. Please don’t say I didn’t warn you.

TK has been on vacation. This is how he greeted us upon his return. HATE.

Consensual cuddling is a really shitty euphemism for sexual assault. (The Mary Sue)

There have been a lot of “fuck yous” to the President the last two years. This may be the most monumental. (Axios)

There are upsides and downsides to finding a book written by someone with a brain like yours. Sarah Wilson’s First We Make the Beast Beautiful is about living with anxiety and other mental illnesses. "This book is less a treatise on how to live with anxiety and more of a blend between memoir, research, blogging, and self-help held together by the common theme of anxiety." Mathildehoeg found it hopeful, but also anxiety triggering. How do you live with your brain? (Cannonball Read 10)
