Yesterday, I linked to an Entertainment Weekly interview with Kevin Feige where he signaled that Marvel could be pulling back on its Disney+ output so the movies and series would “each get a chance to shine.” This follows two years of a jam-packed release schedule that tried to make up for lost time from the pandemic, but probably could’ve pumped the brakes a little bit. Well, apparently, that’s already happening. Reportedly, Marvel is planning to drop only two series this year instead of the previously-announced four as Bob Iger continues to give off heavy vibes that he’s not entirely thrilled with how much money was dumped into these things. This should get interesting. (THR)

“This is all news to you, what I just said, because NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT IT. No one. I mean, except for the local newspapers. And some national ones. I mean, yes, the ten largest newspapers in the United States have been covering it for the past two weeks. The New York Times alone has done four articles. It was on Good Morning America. So I do in fact agree with this Redditor, who says ‘The fact that I haven’t seen a news article/broadcast without having to search for it regarding this incident is extremely troubling.’ That IS troubling. What news are you consuming, my dude? Oh, right. Reddit.” (Skepchick)

From Tori: Sarah Michelle Gellar has a good reason for not doing the next I Know What You Did Last Summer movie. Like, a really really good reason. (AV Club)

I said this before, and I’ll say it again now. Someone needs to seriously look into who was repeatedly shoving Bruce Willis in front of cameras these past few years because he didn’t just suddenly get aphasia and now dementia. This had been going on for a while and was only disclosed when those reports couldn’t be quieted anymore. (Variety)

Welp, I’ve been mangling that name this whole time. (Page Six)

From Kayleigh, who has been all over this topic: How the Hays Code censored cartoons and how animators responded. (Cartoon Brew)
