A lot of celebrities born to celebrities (*coughGwynethcough*) genuinely seem to equate not having a trust fund with being “self-made.” Which is why I really like this Bryce Dallas Howard interview, and her in general. It’s hard to talk about wealth and privilege without sounding like a total jerkwad, but she manages it. (Celebitchy)

I fully support Ariel Winter’s right to put whatever she wants on her body. I also support our right be super judgy about it. (Go Fug Yourself)

There’s a lot of awfulness coming up around Birth of a Nation’s Nate Parker. This may read as nitpicking to some, but the nuances of the language he uses to talk about a college rape accusation are important, and really, really disappointing. (Lainey)

There’s finally an explanation for why Nick packed up and decided to go live with zombies on Fear the Walking Dead. (Uproxx)

H/T to Sara_Tonin00 for bringing my attention to this fantastic argument in support of remaking a gender-swapped version of literally every movie ever. (Get Bullish)

A heads up to lawyers: you can no longer use biased language like calling women honey or sweetheart during trials. A second heads up, though, that if you were doing that before, you’re an asshole. (Quartz)

Adam Pally played a game called “Trump or Troll,” and despite being really good at it, it’s clearly his least favorite game of all time. (Mashable)

Why the changing conversation around mental illness is so important, and what’s still missing. (Science of Us)

Situated within the Marvel comics universe, comes a new young hero by the name of Lunella, or "Moon Girl." And boy, is she cool in the nerdiest way possible. At least, Cannonballer Lisa Bee thinks so. Lunella is a young, genius inventor but she is terrified that one day she is going to become a mutant. How she teams up with the "Devil Dinosaur" in the comic’s title is something you’ll have to go read about in this five-star review. (Cannonball Read 8)
