John Stamos Was Only at Mar-a-Lago for the Nurses (Not Like That)

John Stamos caught a world of sh*t after he was spotted at Mar-a-Lago over the weekend. The Full House star was instantly accused of being MAGA as folks scrambled to be the first to say they’re not surprised. Here’s the thing though: Stamos is not overtly political, but he’s clearly a Democrat. As for being at Mar-a-Lago, he was asked to emcee the Palm Beach Ray of Hope Gala, which helps fund The Academy for Nursing and Health Occupations, a local non-profit. “Supporting nurses isn’t political — it’s essential,” he wrote on Instagram following the backlash. In Stamos’ defense, there were no photos of him mixing it up with Trump — who wasn’t even there — or any of his weirdo inner circle. Stamos wasn’t high-fiving Don Jr. or anything. He hosted an event, and he got the heck out. (EW)

Dustin won’t let me write literary masterpieces about this topic anymore, so I’ll say it here: If Robert Pattinson is cast as the villain in Dune 3, there’s no way he’s still making The Batman Part II. Ain’t happening. Maybe. — Only quote me on this if I’m proven right! (Deadline)

Jen K isn’t much of a crier, but Suzanne Collins’s Hunger Games prequel about Haymitch’s time in the games, Sunrise on the Reaping, got her. “This novel explains why a teenage boy, who was empathetic and had strong social connections, would cut himself off so utterly, and it’s more than simply being in the games and then having to mentor children to their death for 23 years.” Which books have gotten into your feelings?
