Jason Reitman (Up in the Air, Juno, Tully) is a great director (The Front Runner, notwithstanding), but we just don’t know about him directing another reboot of Ghostbusters, despite the fact that his father directed the original ones. This one will ignore the Melissa McCarthy/Leslie Jones/Kate McKinnon/Kristen Wiig reboot and start all over, potentially with a teenage cast? The deets are still vague, but it’s happening, and we’re not so sure it should be happening, especially because it feels a bit like a middle finger to Paul Feig’s version coming so soon after.
