Like most people who endured an evangelical upbringing, I watched in horror as the Duggar Family became reality stars and were regarded as nothing more than just quirky folk who want to poop out a whole lot of babies. Obviously, there was something way more insidious beneath the surface, and I’m not just talking about Josh. Anyway, in these shithole times, I enjoy seeing tiny glimmers of hope like Jill Duggar breaking away from her family and getting an attorney to force Jim Bob to stop stiffing her out of her earnings. Which he tried to do. (Dlisted)

With Borat Subsequent Moviefilm in the wild, here’s the answer to the burning question of who really plays his “daughter.” (Vulture)

Just a reminder of who’s really threatening police departments, and it sure as shit isn’t Black Lives Matter protesters. (Daily Beast)

Ben Aaronovitch’s Tales From the Folly is a collection of short stories from the Rivers of London universe. Kittenkong42 particularly enjoyed the stories that put the limelight on characters other than Peter Grant. "Perhaps the most touching story features young Abigail Kamara and is set around Christmas where we find out Abigail’s brother Paul has a chronic illness that sees him in hospital a lot of time." Have you read the series? (Cannonball Read 12)
