Today, GOP Rep Darrell Issa — who won his district in Southern California in 2016 by a mere 1300 votes — posted this on Twitter.
Today, we made good on our promise to repeal and replace Obamacare once and for all. https://t.co/kMCw17V9nb

Based on the replies to that tweet, I have a fairly strong suspicion that Darrell Issa is not going to repeat his victory in 2018. In fact, if I were him, I’d probably announce my intention not to run in 2018. For funsies, I’m going to break up the links today with Twitter responses to the above tweet from Issa’s constituents. You want to take about a motivated opposition?
@DarrellIssa I promise we will vote you the fuck out of office.

Bradley Cooper made his one and one public appearance in support of Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and, no thanks Ellen, he’d rather not talk about his baby. It’s cool. (Lainey)
@DarrellIssa And in #2018Elections we'll make good on our promise to repeal and replace YOU, once and for all.

The guy running to be President of France, Emmanuel Macron, is 39 and his wife is 64. That’s pretty cool! And he fell in love with his future wife when he was 15, she was 39 and had three kids and was his high school drama teacher, which is … less cool. (Celebitchy)
@DarrellIssa This is a sad day for our country. Help me defeat Darrell Issa next year. https://t.co/SaNORatswF

Yes, Issa’s opponent is using Issa’s Twitter mentions to raise money, and it is working.
@MikeLevinCA @DarrellIssa Already donated. You've got this in the bag, Mike. Darrel's done.

@MikeLevinCA @DarrellIssa I'm not in your district, but I donated to you and will continue to until this scum is voted out.

@MikeLevinCA @DarrellIssa Can Canadians legally donate to your campaign?

Ahead of that movie she’s going to be in with Goldie Hawn, Amy Schumer is “amping up the drama,” fashion-wise, anyway. (GFY)
@DarrellIssa Do you realize how much money you just made for your opponent?! You won your district by a pithy 1,300 votes.

Today, Mike Huckabee managed to be both spectacularly unfunny AND racist on Twitter. Way to go, Mike! (Uproxx)
@DarrellIssa I will be campaigning for your challenger in 2018. Thank you for your cowardice. I am galvanized.

Karen Han has a great list of films defined by their amazing song choices, and I love the shout-out to Jennifer’s Body (but it needs more Almost Famous). (/Film)
@DarrellIssa The only good you did was to make damn good certain to show your disdain for women, the poor, and disabled. Shame on you.

Shut up Sean Hannity. Just shut up. (DListed)
More celebs should get their pregnancy photos in fields of golden wheat. I’m pretty sure it’s how they connect with their farmer base. (LG)
@DarrellIssa I've dropped my Republican registration and will do everything in my power to vote you out of office.

Ingres77 is expanding himself as a reader, so he turned to the book version of the movie that taught him so much about film appreciation. Arthur C. Clarke’s 2001: A Space Odyssey was written concurrently with Stanley Kubrick’s filming of 2001: A Space Odyssey. Kubrick’s movie is an icon and a classic film. The book, while enjoyable, is not. Have you read the book or watched the movie? (Cannonball Read 9)
@DarrellIssa You're done, bud. That's it. Pack it up & go home because you've unleashed something you can't even fathom. Get a head start & run now.

There’s SCORES AND SCORES of these tweets, and most say that they’re donating to Issa’s opponent. It’s goddamn glorious.
@DarrellIssa Even your twitter followers aren't saying "good job". Like, 99% of your replies are against you. How are you rationalizing this?
