Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, the current Dude Broiest team in Hollywood, have announced that their production company will start doing inclusion riders. Broken clock. Twice a day. Yadda yadda. (Celebitchy)

We were really hoping to get PA18 election results in before we published this tonight, but as of now (96 percent reporting), it’s way too close to call. The Democrat leads the Republican by around 1,000 votes. This one could go well into the night, but honestly, it’s already a loss for the GOP. It’s a district that Trump won by 20 points. It’s a district that will be gone in November once new maps are drawn (and the GOP outspent Democrats by $8 million), and most importantly, there are 114 more competitive districts in November for Democrats. 114! And there was a 20 point swing here. That’s crazy. Expect more GOP retirements in the coming days.

Liam Payne sang Waiting On The World To Change at Westminster Abbey, which Meghan Markle enjoyed a lot. If the church I attended as a child had music like this…I would have still quit going, but maybe not as quickly. (Lainey Gossip)

Our beloved Daniel Mallory Ortberg of The Toast (RIP) on coming out as Trans. (The Cut)

This article about the history of the Second Amendment and the types of gun laws the Founding Fathers supported is an older one, but relevant to current events (sadly) and a very good read. (The Conversation)

The Goldfinch adaptation started shooting and today we got to see photos from the set. I adore this book (and truly everything Donna Tartt has written) and I am so excited for this! (Tom & Lorenzo)

So let me see if I get this straight: The leading actor on The Crown, you know, the one who plays the freaking Queen of England, Claire Foy, was paid less than Matt Smith. Unfuckingbelievable. (The Wrap)

Fug Madness is pitting Miley Cyrus against Noah Cyrus. Tough choice, this one! (GFY)

I just finished reading Little Fires Everywhere and loved it very, very much. Kerry Washington and Reese Witherspoon are turning the book into a miniseries, and Hulu just won the bid for it. (Shadow and Act)

TaySwift did what TaySwift does and by that I mean she blatantly plagiarized a video. The response from the original video’s company (or a Rep that works for them?) is splendid. (Dlisted)

This post is about a chef using invasive species in his cooking, like the Asian carp. Would you eat it? The sandwich does look tasty. (Atlas Obscura)

Due to vaccination and extensive cervical screening, Australia is on track to become the first country to eradicate cervical cancer. Way to go, mates! (IFLScience)

Markus Zusak, the writer of the impossibly lovely The Book Theif, has announced a new YA book for this Fall. I’m going to start stockpiling tissues now. (EW)

Ths article about how psychopaths see the world is illuminating. (The Atlantic)

Black Panther has soared past The Dark Knight Rises and became the 20th-highest grossing movie of all time. I can’t believe The Dark Knight Rises was so high on the list. Don’t @ me. (Variety)

I’ve been quoting Shakespeare for years without knowing I was doing it! Here are 21 popular phrases we use every day that originated in his writing. (Mental Floss)

Dexter Palmer’s Version Control ticked a lot of lowercasesee’s boxes. "Plot driven? Check. Genre fiction? Check. New worlds? Check (several checks). Dense complexity to the point of ridiculousness? ALL THE CHECKS." She doesn’t want to give away too much, but if you liked the science realism of The Martian, you might like this. What would you do with a time travel device? (Cannonball Read 10)
