FBI Counterintelligence Agent Breaks Down on CNN in the Wake of Another School Shooting
It’s Valentine’s Day! Hearts and flowers and candy and blah, blah, blah. BUT, it’s also Ash Wednesday for those of the Catholic faith (and maybe other religions too? I don’t know. I’m barely even a failed Catholic.) So here’s a lovely photo of Pope Francis and his new little friend. (Whatever your thoughts of organized religion, I think most can agree that this is a sweet picture, yes?)
And it’s also Black Panther Eve, so I give you Danai Gurira and Chadwick Boseman playing with the Fear Box and being delightful! -
Danai Gurira and Chadwick Boseman playing the fear box are literally the best thing ever pic.twitter.com/fcXh0gHPJB— robs (@laufeyhela) February 12, 2018
Sebastian Stan shorn and glammed up at NYFW… I don’t know. I feel like maybe I’m a Bucky fan and not a Stan stan. What do you think? - (LG)
Louise Linton is just super duper. And pantsless. She’s a super duper privileged pantsless 3rd wife of an awkward Treasury secretary. Super! - (Celebitchy)

Alexander Polinsky, who played the young brother Adam on Charles in Charge, has come forward with claims that Scott Baio abused and terrorized him when they worked together. - (Dlisted)
Helen Mirren and cake. Two of my favorite things! - (GFY)
TBS is airing some damn good shows and they’re gonna’ have a new one from Lena Waithe. - (SandA)
I need someone who has a Kroger to go there immediately, try these, and report back to me if they taste like actual pancakes and syrup. Or if they taste like actual vomit after one has eaten pancakes and syrup. Hurry, time’s awastin’! - (IB)
Yesknopemaybe has a newsflash! Oscar Wilde is still witty, and beneath the wit is biting social satire. Though The Importance Of Being Earnest isn’t her favorite of Wilde’s plays, she highly recommends reading it while listening to LA Theater Work’s audio production, led by James Marsters, or at least watching the 2002 movie version starring Colin Firth, Rupert Everett, and Reese Witherspoon. Do you have a favorite Oscar Wilde play? (Cannonball Read 10)
Oh, my heart! Can we go back in time, PLEASE? Can the Obamas never leave us? They are just such wonderful people and their love affair with each other is goddamn adorable #relationshipgoals - (HuffPo)
Even Mars loves love!
I wanted today to be all about hearts and flowers and goofy celebrity gossip and nonsense, but it didn’t work out that way. 17 people were killed and at least 14 more injured in a school shooting in Florida. The 18th school shooting in the United States this year. I don’t know what the answer is. I don’t know how to fix it. I do know that what we’re doing, which is nothing, is not working. Thoughts and prayers are meaningless. Chris Murphy, Senator from Connecticut, says it better than I ever could.
And as for how we’re feeling right now? This former FBI counterintelligence agent speaks for all of us when he breaks down and basically says, “I can’t right now. I just can’t.” Same Mr. Mudd. Same.
Stay safe out there, you guys. Hug your kids. Call your parents. Sleep on the same side as your significant other tonight.
