Elon Musk and Ben Shapiro were inexplicably invited to Poland to tour the Auschwitz-Birkenau extermination camp memorial today, where Shapiro proceeded to lob the softest of softball questions at Lord Cybertruck. During the conversation, Musk actually said out loud that a social media platform like Twitter could’ve stopped the Holocaust and also “if there had been freedom of speech as well.” — The words you’re looking for are “What the Nazi-humping f*ck?” — Naturally, no one even mentioned that Musk’s ownership of Twitter has caused a significant spike in antisemitism, which usually happens when the goddamn owner actively spreads it himself by forcing users to see his ketamine-fueled hot takes that are so unfunny, you’ll want to lick an EV battery to feel something, anything besides blind, scathing boredom. As someone who just dropped $20 to watch The Marvels on VOD over the weekend, I can safely say I did not regret the purchase. Was it plagued by horrible green screen? For sure. Did the surprisingly strong chemistry between the three leads and Iman Vellani paper over all of that? You bet. It was fun, swift, and showed that Marvel still has gold to spin if it can slow down for a minute and turn the dial back toward “Quality” instead of “Buttload of Quantity.” Anyway, if you have Disney+, The Marvels will be available to stream real soon, and you’ll get a better deal than I did. Donttrustthe_bea doesn’t usually read historical fiction, but a TikTok about Slewfoot by Brom intrigued her. “I appreciated the themes in this story, which included feminine rage, the dangers of the patriarchy, religious repression and hysteria.” What might pique your interest in reading a book outside your usual genres?
