Dominic Cooper may have broken up with his Preacher co-star Ruth Negga, but he’s now reportedly dating Lainey’s new girl crush, who is lovely beyond reason. (Lainey)
Sick of all the attention, Pete Davidson and Ariane Grande just run away from the paparazzi tonight on the Red Carpet at the VMAs.

Speaking of Davidson, he was pulled over by the police last weekend around 4 a.m., and his buddy was busted on possession of pot, which is somehow still not legal in New York yet. (Dlisted)
Who are these “sources” close to Brad and Angelina, and why do they keep ratting each other out, and what a petty, stupid rumor a “friend” of Brad’s purportedly started. (Celebitchy)
My perception of how Fear the Walking Dead is being received this season is so skewed by the Fear Reddit community (which hates it) that I have no idea if I’m in the minority or not (but I really liked last night’s episode). (Uproxx)
Nate Silver has added a new graphic to the sidebar, and it’s going to have to get me through the next 75 days. (538)
On that subject, the GOP is trying to attack Senate candidate Phil Bresden in Tennessee (who has a real shot!) by shitting on that unhinged loony lefty … Ben Folds. Uh. Good luck! (Wonkette)
Ha! I totally knew what was coming after this headline: “A List of Ways to Tell If a White Person Has Personally Benefitted From America’s History of Racism.” You can’t dupe this white guy. Also, I really need to get around to watching Succesion. It’s next on my list. (The Root)

I’m not going to speak to the Al Franken situation in general, but I will say that Chelsea Handler’s defense of Franken here is really bad. (The Mary Sue)
I couldn’t decide whether to go with Emma Thompson’s overalls or whatever it is that Tara Reid is wearing that makes it appear as though she’s looking in a funhouse mirror. (GFY)
Narfna had seen Jenny Han’s To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before around, but didn’t pick up the book until she saw the trailer for the Netflix movie. "What I liked most about this book was that it really felt like Lara Jean and all of her friends were actually sixteen years old." Narfna could see how it would make a fun movie, and Kristy gave it a good review. Have you watched it yet? (Cannonball Read 10)
Bursting guffaw!
Meanwhile, you may need to put on some shades before checking out this photo of Ryan Reynolds’ wife.
