Mike and I did a PLove switcheroo for our birthdays (we have the same birthday, which is a fun coincidence, no?) so we could celebrate with our families. Mine consisted of eating too much, setting up my new greenhouse for my potted citrus trees, and watching several episodes of The Recruit on Prime. I find it absolutely stupid, but so very entertaining! I hope you’re having a great night, Mike!

Melissa Yi really enjoys Mick Herron’s writing though Spook Street wasn’t her favorite. “Everything I’ve read of [his] is crammed full of painfully witty observations, historical and current detail, and a bit of oddity, which are all a lot of fun, even if this one hurt my heart.” Which authors will you read, even when you don’t love the book?
