Presumably because demand for these photos shot through the roof, above is the only shot of Britney Spears wearing her 2002 Versace “revenge dress” that I could get my hands on without the entire site getting copyright trolled into the sun. Anyway, like most people, Britney noticed Blake Lively wearing the Versace dress for the premiere of “It Ends With Us.” It’d be easy to say that Britney threw shade at Blake —- which Britney’s spokesperson is already denying — but I’m gonna be completely honest: None of this makes a lick of sense. I don’t know what’s happening here. (Page Six)
Relatedly, I’ve stared at eight billion paparazzi and red carpet photos of both of them, so I feel confident saying Blake Lively is all wrong to play Britney Spears. — Plus, how do I say this? Blake can’t act. — Lainey also isn’t feeling Blake and has floated Sabrina Carpenter for the Britney biopic. Is Sabrina a more inspired choice than Blake? Totally, but in my dumbass opinion, not quite there yet. Britney was never a waif. That was not her thing, and it’s what made her so relatable. (Lainey Gossip)

After watching The Fall of the House of Usher, jmsudar decided he needed to read Edgar Allan Poe’s The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket. He thought it was weird and contained some horrific scenes, but “[Stefon voice] ‘this book has everything.’” Have you read Poe’s only full-length novel? (Cannonball Read 16)
