In August, Bowen Yang revealed a host that made multiple SNL cast members cry — we speculated at the time it might be Eddie Murphy or even Dan Levy. This week, Yang offered a few more details, mostly saying that the host created a hostile environment because he hated every “f**king” idea. That makes me think even more that it was Eddie Murphy, because the cast is more likely to take offense to him hating their ideas. (NYPost)

I didn’t happen to catch the People’s Choice Country Awards, but if I had watched them, I would not have recognized Shania Twain even if her name was in big ol’ honkin’ letters on the screen in front of her as she sang “That Don’t Impress Me Much” and the announcer said, “Shania Twain is now singing her hit song from 1997” and the dancers spelled out “S.H.A.N.I.A” in some kind of dance thing in front of the backdrop that read “SHANIA” in 40-foot letters.
