Sorry to report Jonathan Majors news two days in a row, but things seem to be moving quickly on that front. Last night, I wrote about Joanna Robinson’s scoop that Jeff Loveness is no longer writing Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Earlier this afternoon, a bigger bombshell was dropped: The film no longer has a director as Destin Daniel Craig focuses on Wonder Man and a Shang-Chi sequel. The fact that the trades are reporting this development does not bode well for Kang Dynasty happening. Avengers: Secret Wars always seemed like the better chance of nailing the Infinity War/Endgame sweet spot. The more resources poured into that, the better. (THR)
Gwyneth Paltrow snags the latest cover of PEOPLE to promote good.clean.goop, or as Lainey calls it, “her version of charity for profit.” That’s a damn good burn. P.S. We’re habitual Target shoppers at the Redmond house, and I don’t know who in the hell is going to pay $40 for one ounce of anti-aging serum. Good luck, lady. (Lainey Gossip)
Of course, that film festival is defending Adam Driver telling some annoying Q&A guy to f*ck off. It was the right thing to do. (Celebitchy)
Kyrsten Sinema is running out of campaign cash for vital constituent outreach at fancy restaurants and posh hotels. (Wonkette)
Tesla has decided it will not sue Cybertruck owners who resale the vehicle within the first year, which is a thing Tesla was absolutely trying to do by the way. (Gizmodo)
Am I the only one who immediately wondered if the father is Brad Pitt, or is that too deep of a cut? Have we all forgotten about that? (Page Six)
Have you found George Lucas in the background of your family photos? Because he may be a cryptid. (The Mary Sue)
Joaquin Castro wants the feds to look into the whole Coyote vs. Acme debacle. (The Hill)
Which probably explains why David Zaslav is suddenly out here gushing about how much he loves writers and saying they were right to strike. (Variety)
Taika Waititi confirms he won’t be coming back for Thor 5. (EW)
Jon Hamm will star in the newest series from The Shield creator Shawn Ryan. (Deadline)
Jake doesn’t usually go for horror, but Black Sheep is one of his favorite books of the year. ‘I will say that Rachel Harrison does something that across genres really works for me: she creates an interesting protagonist, gives them real stakes, and has them work through it.’ Which authors will you follow across genres? (Cannonball Read 15)
In an absolutely egregious oversight, I forgot to include this Glen Powell photoshoot in yesterday’s P-Love. You’re going to definitely want to click through to the third pic unless you’re at work or within range of an easily jealous partner:
