Anne Hathaway Would Like You To Stop Shitting On Jennifer Lawrence & Miley Cyrus Wants to Make Sure You've Seen Her Engagement Ring

Welcome to Monday. Current mood:

I know I do a lot of fawning over little Jacob Tremblay from Room, but you get it right? RIGHT? I’m dying over every single audience reaction shot from his Critics’ Choice Award acceptance speech. Tracee Ellis Ross makes the face I make every time this kid speaks. (Celebitchy)

Anne Hathaway would really like it if everyone would stop crapping on Jennifer Lawrence for joking with a reporter at the Golden Globes. The backlash and pedestal-knocking is unnecessary. And she should know. (Facebook)

Also from Facebook: If you watched Tig Notaro’s documentary Tig, you know about the comedian’s struggles to get pregnant. She announced today that she and her wife are now expecting twins! Also, she describes the “compound” they’ve built and I suddenly have a whole new set of life goals. (Facebook)

You may have seen a ton of headlines this morning all asking if Miley Cyrus is engaged. That’s because Miley made sure to get her big ol’ diamond ring in a bunch of Instagram and paparazzi shots. (Lainey)

Did you watch last night’s Democratic debate? This is a million times better than anything that actually happened:

Uh oh, HBO’s Westworld hit another production snag. (Uproxx)

This is random. And confusing. And arousing. Laura Dern and Common went on a date. (DListed)

Last week I linked to a graph of all the ways you can die. Now that information comes in the form of a customizable simulator. Just in case you were running low on panic attack fuel. (The Atlantic)

Last week, Slate ran an article with the horrendously ignorant headline “Hillary Clinton Isn’t a Lesbian—but She Dresses Like One.” This rebuttal piece is a pretty fantastic follow-up. (Autostraddle)

Cannonballer Melina is in the lead with 10 books reviewed so far this year. Most of her list includes the entire Gone series by Michael Grant. She kicked off 2016 with the first book which gives the series its name. The other books are Hunger, Lies, Plague, Fear, and Light. One caveat from Melina: don’t read Plague if you’re sick, otherwise check out this great dystopian future series. (Cannonball Read 8)
