So I know the online echo chamber has already sent out marching orders that the GameStop fiasco is to be lauded as some sort of “rising up of the people” because there’s nothing that crowd would love more than to believe shit-posting and memes is a form of meaningful activism and not smug, inside jokes farted across a high school lunch table. But in reality, the GameStop pump-and-dump scheme is just a bunch of capitalist stock bros bloodying the nose of a different set of capitalist stock bros in the pursuit of naked capitalism.
