The New York Post ran — and later deleted — a story in which the paper alleged that Kamala Harris was handing out a copy of her children’s book, Superheroes are Everywhere, as a part of the “welcome kit” to every migrant child who crossed the border. It was false. Categorically so. The journalist asked to write it has subsequently resigned. (The Hill)
The Kamala Harris story — an incorrect story I was ordered to write and which I failed to push back hard enough against — was my breaking point.

As I was a teenager in the 1980s, I’m semi-intrigued by the idea of Andrew McCarthy’s Brat Pack book, but I have to be honest, I would be far more intrigued if it were written by literally any other member of the Brat Pack. He was always the most vanilla of them all. - (Lainey Gossip)
I guess people are talking about Zac Efron’s face looking all different now? I don’t really know. He looks older, I think. Maybe more filled out or more rugged? I don’t know. Does he look different now? - (Celebitchy)
OK, but for rilly rill, who does Caitlyn Jenner think her voters are? Her own family, including now her sons, aren’t even endorsing her for her campaign! - (Dlisted)
Disney’s Enchanted is one of those movies I put on when I can’t decide what to watch and I just want something upbeat and cheerful (also Tangled, which just doesn’t get enough love, imo). A sequel with Amy Adams and James Marsden returning PLUS Maya Rudolph and Yvette Nicole Brown?! - (Deadline)
If this is true, it might also become something I repeatedly put on when I can’t decide what to watch, especially if it BURNS Justin Timberlake to the emmereffing ground! - (The Root)
Now your lazy toddler has no excuse for not helping with the chores. You WILL have to listen to that ‘Baby Shark’ song on repeat, but I think it’s totally worth it to have that shiftless baby do their part. - (Delish)
Why are McDonald’s ice cream machines always broken? This guy does a deep dive to figure it out and explains it in a short 30-minute video. - (BoingBoing)
Ciara shared this and she’s right, it’s pretty hilarious!

Sarah read Kazuo Ishiguro’s most recent work of science fiction, Klara and the Sun, at a moment when the book amplified her own life experience. Ishiguro was asking the same question she was: "What would I do for the person I loved the most?" (Cannonball Read 13)
