How Did THEY Get Tickets to Hamilton?

Earlier this evening, a recently married couple that goes colloquially by “Harghan,” or the Duke and Duchess of Sussex if you’re being formal about it, were able to secure tickets to the touring production of Hamilton in London, which is still the hottest theatre ticket around.

When Hamilton was in Los Angeles, I tried multiple times to secure tickets to see what the fuss was about. I was unsuccessful in my efforts, and yet these two had no problems. Who do you have to know to get Hamilton tickets?

Sure, it may be helpful to know its creator, Lin-Manuel Miranda, as these two apparently seem to. Yes, it also probably helped that the particular performance they managed to see was also a fundraiser for the charity Sentebale, which maybe one of them helped co-found and is actively engaged in. Finally, yes, let’s acknowledge that being royalty certainly helps one get tickets to Hamilton, especially when your wedding was one of the most watched events around the world in the past few years.

Still, I’d like to know what makes them so special as to get tickets to Hamilton. I sincerely doubt either of these two have a bookcase in their home entirely devoted to the complete collection of Fear Street books from R.L. Stine like I do. I even would have changed out of the pajamas I’ve worn all day to make myself presentable to attend a performance. I’d brush my teeth AND my hair if that’s what it took.

Hardly seems fair, does it?

Anyway, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle got gorgeous, went to Hamilton, and once again proved to the world that they are #blessed. I, on the other hand, ate confetti popcorn for breakfast AND lunch, and have yet to change out of the clothes I slept in last night. Some folks have all the luck.

Here’s the couple arriving for the performance, looking happy (probably because they secured Hamilton tickets.)

MM particularly looked good, wearing a tuxedo dress that People.com has already deemed “daring”

No word yet on what they thought of the performance, but I’m sure they said it was at least “good” out loud, because they sat next to its creator.

The couple left their new (alleged) Labrador at home, which makes sense, because who would bring their dog to Hamilton?

…I would, which is probably another reason why I wasn’t able to get tickets.
