Echo chambers are powerful. If you are consistently steeped in variations of the same opinion over and over, you can find yourself cemented in that opinion no matter what new information is provided. It is one of many dangerous aspects of social media that has severely affected public discourse, and many in power have used it to their advantage. Take billionaire white supremacist and rizzless dweeb Elon Musk (please) for instance! The man spent 44 billion dollars constructing his own echo chamber, which helped him buy an election.

The leading candidate for Worst Father in the World has seemed dead set on destroying the United States ever since. He has destroyed public programs, waged war on the IRS, and swung a chainsaw around a stage while (allegedly) ripped to the teets on Special K. While Musk hasn’t been quiet about his “work,” he has mostly clung to right-wing shows and interviews. The man sat down with Joe Rogan to claim he isn’t a Nazi because he isn’t committing genocide, which is bulls*** reasoning. However, he wasn’t called out on it because, of course.

Musk does this because he knows he will crumble when properly questioned. Don Lemon sucks, but he managed to get under Musk’s skin during what was set up as a “friendly” interview. Even in a “safe space” Musk couldn’t handle getting called out on his hateful nonsense. The man has zero spine, dumb ideas, and an insatiable appetite for protecting his fraudulent legacy. Despite all of this, he responded to criticism from Daily Show host Jon Stewart by saying he would appear on the show if it airs unedited. Now, Stewart is calling his bluff.

The fact that Musk made such a request shows that he likely won’t appear on the program. Ultimatums are not a good way to start any relationship. As Stewart pointed out in a new episode, the interviews always air unedited. He then egged Musk on more, saying, “We’d be delighted. As a matter of fact, let me sweeten or unsweeten the pot — the interview can be 15 minutes, an hour, two hours, whatever. I’ll be honest, I don’t think this network [Comedy Central] makes any other programming, so we can do whatever the f*** we want as long as we wrap before the new season of South Park, which comes out like May or June of 2026.”

Taking shots at Paramount and South Park is pretty great, but the best part came when Stewart went after some of Musk’s most egregious claims. The pasty con man called Stewart a “propagandist,” which is insane even if you don’t consider Stewart going on a tirade against Biden during the 2024 election. Stewart is far from a propagandist, unlike the far-right businessman, and he was not shy in defending himself. “Again, the guy who custom-made his own dark MAGA hat that he wears to opine in the Oval Office with the president, who he spent $270 million to elect, thinks I’m just too partisan,” Stewart noted. “[C]an we just drop the pretense that you won’t do it because I don’t measure up to the standards of neutral discourse that you demand and display at all times? Because, quite frankly, that’s embarrassing.”

I don’t think Musk will do this interview, and Stewart understands why. Musk can’t handle the heat. He can say what he wants, but he is as partisan as he can be and soaking in an echo chamber of racism, xenophobia, and people who think he’s funny. There’s no way he will go anywhere that challenges that notion because he’s a f***ing coward. But I hope Stewart keeps inviting him because nothing makes bullies look weaker to their cronies than turning down a fight.
