Ariana Grande Can't Believe How This Ariana Grande Person Treated Elvira

Over the weekend, Elvira confirmed her status as Mistress of the Dark by dropping some scalding hot tea all over Ariana Grande. During a Q&A for the annual Knott’s Scary Farm event, Elvira was asked about her celebrity encounters, and when someone yelled Grande’s name, that’s when the wig came off.

Elvira shared that Grande went to one of her events “and she brought 20 guests. So she wanted 21 tickets… and we gave her the tickets,” she began. “She comes backstage and she asked if I could take pictures with all of her friends and relatives she brought.”

The story continued, with Elvira saying that she took “a picture with every single one of them. I sign autographs for every single one of them. Then I say to her ‘can we take a photo together?’ and she goes ‘no, I don’t really do that.’”

If you’re even slightly familiar with Grande, this story won’t be shocking to you. It was, however, shocking to Ariana Grande, who was dismayed to see such terrible behavior from Ariana Grande. “Who is this tiny menace?” she presumably thought.

In a failed effort to squash the now-viral story before it cut into Wicked’s box office, Grande offered up an “apology” in Elvira’s comments after the horror icon shared a screenshot of Parade’s headline. And by apology, I mean Grande tried to pretend the whole thing never happened before leaning into the always neat trend of using mental health as an excuse for asshole behavior.

i’m so disheartened to see this. i actually don’t even remember getting the chance to meet you because i had an anxiety attack and to my memory, left before the rest of my family (this was around 7 years ago and at the time i was really not great with being in public crowds or loud places)… but if i’m misremembering this moment, i sincerely apologize for offending you so.
thank you for being so nice to my mom, she told me how lovely you were (she might have different feelings about that now but i’ll talk to her… clearly, we all have our days!)

I love how Ariana tries to spin this into doing Elvira a favor by putting in a good word with her mom and making it sound like they both screwed up here. They did not. Elvira had every right to blow up Grande’s spot, and I doubt she’s losing sleep over what the parent of a spoiled little diva thinks of her. Elvira is resting comfortably in her coffin, knowing she’s already stood the test of time while the clock is ticking on Ariana Grande. True story, I’ve been aware of her for over a decade, and I couldn’t name a single one of her songs if you put a gun to my head.

That said, I do know she was on Victorious, but purely against my will. I didn’t mean for that happen. Ya gotta believe me!
