Take a Break Netflix, GAWD

Earlier this week, Netflix ordered an amazing sounding series starring Alison Brie as an 80’s female wrestler, which came less than a week after they ordered a series starring Keegan Michael-Key and Cobie Smulders. This is why FX President John Landgraf is worried about a Netflix monopoly, because they land everything.

With 71 seasons already expected to arrive next year, the streaming service can add two more: Netflix has officially renewed Stranger Things for a second season, and now they are bringing back Bill Nye for his own series.

Bill Nye Saves the World will be a talk show, where Nye explores a “topic from a scientific point of view, dispelling myths, and refuting anti-scientific claims that may be espoused by politicians, religious leaders or titans of industry.”

Meanwhile, a second season of Stranger Things was a no brainer, after it quickly became the third most watched series on Netflix of the last year, according to a ratings-service that tracks these things (Stranger Things placed only behind Orange is the New Black and Fuller House).

Given the number of new and returning series coming to Netflix in 2017 and beyond, the streaming service is going to need to develop an IV drip for television viewing.
