Is Ryan Phillippe Meeting with Marvel/Netflix About 'Iron Fist?'

On yesterday’s Stern Show, Ryan Phillippe revealed he’s got an upcoming meeting with Marvel about a Netflix series, and the actor made sure he mentioned Daredevil — so clearly he’s alluding to something. Fans are speculating the series might be Iron Fist, one of the five planned Marvel series (up after A.K.A. Jessica Jones and Luke Cage).

I love how Howard tells Phillippe he has to seize the moment; “It’s like, McConaughey was kinda the guy who ran around on the beach with his shirt off, then, coupla movies, coupla TV things, now he’s the fucking guy. This is your moment, dude.”

Now, if he is up for Danny Rand aka Iron Fist, would (should) Phillippe really say something at this point? I’m really not certain, but he responded to all the buzz on Twitter thusly:

I have no real marvel news other than an upcoming meeting. sorry to disappoint fans thought there was more to it. there is no story there.😊

Regardless, he does have a meeting, it is about a Marvel/Netflix series, and now all we can do is speculate.
